About me

HEY THERE!

Hi, I’m Greer – I’m a mom of two, living in England with my husband and our boys. Our family life is unique as we navigate the joys and challenges of raising a neurodivergent child with special educational needs (SEN). Parenting in the neurodiverse world has been both rewarding and overwhelming at times. There have been moments where I’ve felt incredibly alone, unsure of where to turn for guidance and support.

In the midst of one particularly tough season, I decided to open up and share our experiences on social media. I often wondered, "Am I the only one struggling with sensory meltdowns, parenting challenges, and advocating for the right support?" Slowly but surely, I started connecting with other parents of children with special needs who were facing similar struggles.

One day, during a coffee chat with a friend, she asked me what it’s really like to raise a neurodivergent child. As we talked, she said, "I wish everyone could hear this conversation. It’s so eye-opening." That’s when it clicked: I need to share these conversations with more people.

That’s how The Unfinished Idea podcast came to life—a space where parents raising neurodivergent children can find community and support. Whether you're navigating autism, ADHD, sensory processing or simply need tips on how to advocate for your child, you're in the right place. You’re not alone—I’m here to walk alongside you in this journey.

I’m so glad you found your way here. Welcome to the community—I can’t wait to share this journey with you!
