My name is Greer. I live in England with my husband, two boys and two dogs. Our day to day looks different to others as we raise a child with special educational needs (SEN). Navigating the world of neurodiversity has brought many joys and struggles.
During a difficult season where things felt really hard, I started to share more of our day to day on social media. It often felt like I was the only one experiencing these struggles and joys which was extremely isolating. The more I shared the more I realised two things: one, I wasn't the only one and two a lot of people don't know what questions to ask.
One day I met a friend for coffee who wanted to talk about what it is like raising a child who is neurodiverse and our day to day. As we talked and she asked questions at the end of the conversation over a cup of coffee, she said, "I wish you could have this type of conversation with everyone. It was really eye-opening."
A few weeks went by and I started to look for a podcast that would fit my needs but couldn't find one. Between this and various doors being opened to start a podcast and the Unfinished Idea was born.
